Low Cost

When we build a PC, sometimes we forget what it is for. Some build a $500 PC or more just for browsing internet or play DVD movie. It is very bad to waste money in my opinion. So I hope with this low cost segment, more people would know how much budget they need.

In this low cost build, there is two type GPU. The onboard, and the PCI-E one. The onboard means the GPU is one with mother board. While the PCI-E means the GPU has a card that need to plug in the PCI-E slot at mother board. So we start from the cheapest one, $0. Yes it is $0, you dont even need a dollar because you dont need to buy any GPU. Just buy a mother board that has onboard GPU. Its capable for play DVD, browsing, or just have some fun with facebook games. Here is some recomended brand for you :

But still, there also some need a Home Theater PC (HTPC) builds for their living room or even in their bedroom. And another to have some GPU muscle to play game online or an offline one at 19 inch LCD. A 19 inch LCD is about 1280x1024 square or 1440x900 widescreen at about medium setting. For this people, I just recomend a sub $100 GPU. They have much brand right now, here are some recomended item from me :

Please keep in mind, for HTPC can be use both with HD 5570 or HD 5670. While for a little muscle to games better choose the HD 5670. BTW Im sorry for NVDIA fan, I cannt recomending sub $100 for you, since AMD got the best/performance here.
