For a hardcore GPU that have very good price/performance I recomend the HD 5870 from HIS. It has good performance and a directx 11 GPU. And it can play most games at 1920x1200, it is more then high definition resolution. If you really need muscle, why not try the OCed one or even with 2GB memory. But for you who want to go all out I recomended a 480 GTX or an HD5970. As for their cost, it has about 33% to 70% more expensive, but sadly only has 30% to 50% more performance.
